SHSMD Announces 2023 President, President-Elect and Advisory Board

Chicago (September 14, 2022) – The Society for Health Care Strategy & Market Development (SHSMD), a professional membership group of the American Hospital Association (AHA), has announced Alan Shoebridge will serve as president of the SHSMD Advisory Board for 2023. Shoebridge is associate vice president for national communication for Providence. He succeeds Lisa Schiller, SHSMD’s board president for 2022, who will remain on the board as immediate past president. Schiller is chief communications and marketing officer at UNC Health & UNC School of Medicine.
SHSMD also announced the election of Christine Albert, MPP, APR as president-elect of the board for 2023. Albert is chief marketing and experience officer, LCMC Health in New Orleans.
SHSMD is a professional membership of the AHA for health care marketers, communicators, strategic planners and business developers.
In addition, SHSMD announced the election of the following new board members:
- Dorian L. Harriston, director, academic and community marketing, Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles.
- Jennifer D. Horton, MBA, vice president, strategy and account services, Ten Adams, Evansville, Ind.
- Ryan Younger, vice president, marketing, Virtua Health, N.J.
Reelected to the board are:
- Dennis S. Jolley, MPH, M.Ed, system vice president, strategy & planning, UW Health.
- Suzanne B. Hendery, MA, APR, CPXP, chief marketing and customer officer, Renown Health, Reno, Nev.
Also returning as board members for 2022 are:
- Lisa Crockett, vice president, system strategy & planning, Providence St. Joseph Health, Renton, Wash.
- Christina Deidesheimer, vice president of communications & outreach, Chief Communications Officer, Beebe Healthcare, Lewes, Del.
