Practicing Value-Based Care: Strategies for Physician Alignment

The transition in payment and care delivery models from volume to value has been one of the most important shifts in US health care over the past several years. And with MACRA’s first performance period underway, the transition is in full swing. Or is it? The Deloitte Center for Health Solutions surveyed a nationally representative sample of US primary care and specialty physicians and interviewed executives at health systems to understand views and adoption rates with value-based care. Despite perceptions, adoption among physicians remains low. Deloitte and the Carolinas Healthcare System will discuss leading practices to prepare and support physicians to practice in a value-based care environment.
