Getting Started is Easy!
Any group wanting to start a chapter must sign an agreement and meet the criteria stated here.
Some of the criteria include:
- Have at least 30% SHSMD members (not students) for chapters under 100, or 15% of members for larger chapters.
- Establish a non-profit status, obtain an Employer Identification Number, and maintain a bank account.
- Develop bylaws and secure liability insurance.
